Subcontractor Survey - June 2020

The majority of workers are back on projects that were previously postponed. Demo work has recently slowed down which lends to a potential slow down in trades that follow demo in the coming weeks. Safety costs have increased pricing by an average of 7%. Union labor increases will go into effect in July with an increase for most trades between 2-4%. Uncertainty of projects pipelines are reducing subcontractor pricing on an average of 10%. Offsetting the increase in safety costs, the market will be experiencing an overall savings of around 3%.

New projects should take into account these changes and work with their contractors to alleviate increased material lead times.
